Our parent and sibling

In 2017, together with our New Zealand sister-company, BJ Ball, we were acquired to become part of Japan Pulp & Paper (OVOL), and to form the Ball & Doggett Group. With a strong appetite for growth and diversification, Japan Pulp & Paper provide us with solid backing to assist with their mission of “Paper – and Beyond”. Based out of their Tokyo Head Office, OVOL has operations in 23 countries and 62 cities.

Our locations

The size of our product range is equaled only by the size of our warehouses. We have warehouses in each Australian capital city.

With constant stock movement, forklift activity, ink mixing and guillotine product converting we take the safety and welfare of our employees seriously. Whether its training, fatigue management, quality leadership, EAP/counselling or physical and Mental Health First Aid, we make sure that proper physical and mental safety support is provided at every stage of your career.

Our customers

Our products are used to manufacture everything printed from Magazines to plant tags. So, our customers are the who’s who of the print and packaging world. They are the country’s key manufacturers, designers, creatives, engineers, sign makers, car wrappers, brand strategist and more – who create, print and distribute for Australia’s biggest brands.

From a print perspective, we deal with customers such as Ive Group (Australia’s largest printer), Fuji Xerox, Easy Signs, Snap & Kwik Kopy Printing, and our partnership with Konica Minolta, HP and Roland is the cornerstone of our machinery range.

Within Ball & Doggett, our customers are supported by a Sales & Marketing team who are industry leaders. Becoming an expert in our diverse product range is part of the fun of working at B&D, and our Sales team support the following product categories:

Our partnerships

We are a proud supporter of Women in Print, a collective designed to bring the female print industry together as a community.

We are also the founder of GSM – a magazine is dedicated to celebrating graphic design in print in New Zealand & Australia.

We are actively represented on the board of The Real Media Collective – an industry wide association that represents the Print, Paper & Packaging Industries.

Finally, with our colleagues in the Australasian Paper Industry Association – APIA – we are active in setting the narrative for our industry.

● Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC®) certification.

● Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification (PEFC) certification.

● Business Specific Environmental Management System accreditation that runs in line with ISO 14001. It means we’re continually committed to improving our systems around environmental performance with everything from water, energy, emissions and waste.

● Membership of the Australian Packaging Covenant (a sustainable initiative that aims to encourage business to design more sustainable packaging, increase recycling rates and reduce packaging litter).
